  • Day Three of the 102.3 degree fever. The girlie not me.

  • Day Five of the UNO Winter Tournament. I'm only losing to her by 650 points.
  • Day Twelve of Winter Layoff 2007. He's cutting firewood today, but he's working on making wooden shutters for the house and shed.
  • Day Two of Waiting for Football Season to Begin Season.
  • Day Twenty Six of credit cardless spending.
  • Day Twenty of wondering if there will be a reply to an email that might have effectively ended a seven year long friendship.
  • Day Four of Realizing it didn't upset me quite as much as I would've thought. But still, it did upset me.
  • Twenty three days until the annual ice fishing trip for the husband. I've told the kids they could spend their holiday gift cards and my own personal plan is to watch a ton of movies and spend guiltless time on the computer into the wee hours of the morning. We are all counting down.

I kick butt at Uno, any chance of entering that winter tournament?

Congrats on the 26 days of creditless spending.

Round of applause.

Sorry to hear about the whole email/friendship thing. It's her loss because you ROCK.

I didn't like her anyway.

:-)

Hope your girly feels better soon

Even if I wanted to use my credit card I couldn't... so you go girl!

Sorry about your frienship woes. Hope things get worked out either way.

Is there enough ice for the ice fishing?

I'd like to sign up for the friendship replacement option...I suck at Uno, so I could come play and you'd feel much much better. And I'm just counting down the days until Nascar returns now that football season is DEAD TO ME (unless Adam misses a crucial kick in the SuperBowl, which would just make me blissfully happy)...Oh dear, I'd better fix my Christian attitude....

I would love to do that last bulleted item.

I hope the little one is feeling better. Hopefully it's not contagious.

As one who has effectively lost 4 friendships in the past 365 days (and one of them a 17 year one) I hear ya. It sucks. BIG TIME.

Hope that fever comes down. Yikes!!

What actually helped me heal: reading books about how to get beyond breakups (since the oevre of books about women breaking friendships with women is a small one--and as a librarian, I KNOW.)

The best one: an audio of How to survive the loss of a love. Which I can't seem to find for sale anywhere--I got it from the library.
